Pallipalayam chicken(naatu kozhi varuval)

Chicken (country chicken) 300 gms
Small onion 10
Garlic 10 pods
Curry leaves 2 sprigs
Dry red chilli 6
Turmeric powder ½ tsp
Salt and oil as required
1.      In a pan add 4 tsp of oil,sliced small onions,curry leaves and minced garlic .saute well
2.      Add dry red chillies and turmeric powder
3.      Add chicken pieces and saute for 5 minutes and add salt
4.      Now cook the chicken in low medium heat for 10-15 minutes with lid closed
5.      Don’t burn the chicken,stir often
Once the chicken is done ,fry it to get dry consistency
Serve hot with rice


  1. As for as i know, In Pallipalayam chicken they used to put plenty of coconut pieces(not the grated one)... but here u did not mention about coconut. Is this a different kind or what?

  3. palliplayam dry fry wont use coconut, if u need u can add and try it, but taste differs a lot.. let me know that version of yours.. will try it once.. tq for the comment.

    Both are I just browsed and got the links and not my own one.

    1. u do browse more of this in net, u ll b able get as many as mine wihout coconut.. then its up to u to choose which u like to have.. enjoy the food. tq
