Ayila vattichathu ( mackerel in thick spicy gravy)

Ayila 500 gms
Ginger chopped 1 tsp
Garlic chopped 1 tbsp
Green chilli slit 2
Onion chopped 1
Tomato 1
Fenugreek seeds ½ tsp
Vinegar 1 tbsp
Coconut milk thick 3 cups
Turmeric powder ½ tsp
Chilli powder 3 tbsp
Salt and oil as required
1.      In a pan add oil, fenugreek seeds, garlic, ginger,green chilli and onion.saute well
2.      Add tomato, turmeric powder, chilli powder and salt
3.      Add coconut milk, vinegar and fish
4.      Allow it to cook till fish is done
Serve with parottas
