Kanyakumari Fish Fry

Kanyakumari cuisine are quiet spicy. Coconut is the main ingredient which brings the food its delicious taste. It mainly resembles the Kerala cuisine. Having the large coastal area fish relishes the dishes. Here is the authentic Kanyakumari fish fry
Fresh sea fishes brings u the original taste to the dish

Fish pieces                                             6
Grated coconut                                      ¼ cup
Fennel seeds                                         1tsp
Small onions (sambar onion)                  6
Turmeric powder                                  1 tsp
Red chilli powder                                 3 tsp
Curry leaves
Salt and oil as required
1. Clean the fish pieces well
2. Make paste of coconut and small onions
3. Crush fennel seeds
4. In a bowl add coconut paste, crushed fennel seeds, chilli powder, and turmeric powder, salt, curry leaves and mix well
5. Coat each of the fish pieces with the above mixture and marinate this for half an hour
6. In a frying pan add a little oil about 2 tsp and place the fish pieces and add oil along the sides of fish pieces
7. Once it is done turn it to other side of fish and roast till both the sides turn golden brown colour
Serve hot
