Sardine fry(mathi meen varuval)


Ingredients
Sardine fish 20
Shallots 10
Garlic 10
Curry leaf 2 sprigs
Turmeric powder ½ tsp
Chilli powder 1 tsp
Pepper powder 1 tbsp
Lemon juice 1 tbsp
Salt and oil as required
Preparation
1.      Grind shallots,garlic,curry leaf with lemon juice
2.      Add turmeric powder,salt, chilli powder and pepper powder to it
3.      Remove head and tail part of the sardine and make slits on it
4.      Marinate fish with the above paste for ½ - 1 hour
5.      Deep fry it in oil
Serve with rice
