Virudhunagar Chicken curry

Chicken ½ kg
Onion 200 gms
Tomato 200 gms
Chilli powder 2 tsp
Coriander powder 3 tsp
Turmeric powder ½ tsp
Green chilli 2
Cinnamon 1
 cloves 2
fennel seeds 1tsp
Oil and salt as required
To grind
Garlic 6
Pepper corns 3 tsp
Cumin seeds 1 tsp
Curry leaves 2 sprigs
Ginger 1 inch
1.      In a pan add oil,fennel seeds,cinnamon,cloves,onion and tomato
2.      Add chicken and saute well
3.      When it turns white add chilli powder,turmeric powder,coriander powder,salt and required water
4.      When it is done add slit green chilli and ground powder
5.      When it starts boiling turn off the flame
Serve with rice,idli ,dosa,idiappam….

  3. Pl let me know whether the ingredients to grind should be roasted first or to be ground raw
    again coarsely or fine with or without water
