Pondy Scrambled dried seer fish(vanjiram karuvadu thokku)


Ingredients
Dried seer fish 100 gms
Onion chopped 1cup
Green chilli chopped 4
Ginger chopped 1 inch
Garlic chopped 15 pods
Curry leaves 2 sprigs
Coriander leaves chopped 2 tbsp
Chilli powder 1 tsp
Turmeric powder  ½  tsp
Mustard seeds ½ tsp
Urad dal ½ tsp
Salt and oil as required
Preparation
1.      Soak the dried fish in hot water for 10 minutes and clean it well
2.      Cut it into small cubes
3.      In a pan add oil,mustard seeds, urad dal,onions,ginger, garlic and curry leaves.saute well
4.      Add turmeric powder,chilli powder and green chillies.saute it
5.      Add the dried fish pieces and ¼ cup water
6.      Allow it to cook
7.      Once cooked check for salt
8.      If required add salt
9.      Finally add coriander leaves.toss once
Serve with rice.goes well with rasam rice
