Kerala style prawn masala (Nadan chemeen varutharacha masala)

Prawns 500 gms
Marinate cleaned prawns with turmeric powder and chilli powder for 15 minutes
Small onion chopped 10
Ginger chopped 1 inch
Dry red chilli 2
Curry leaf 2 sprigs
Tamarind extract 3 tbsp
Mustard seeds ½ tsp
Fenugreek seeds ½ tsp
Coconut oil and salt as required
To grind
Grated coconut  ½ cup
Dry red chilli 5
Coriander seeds 1 tbsp
Small onion chopped 2 tsp
Roast it in 1 tsp of coconut oil and add turmeric powder-1/2 tsp to it
Grind to a smooth paste
1.      In a pan add oil, mustard seeds, fenugreek seeds, small onion, ginger ,curry leaf and dry red chilli.
2.      Sauté well
3.      Add ground paste and tamarind extract. Sauté well
4.      Add ¼ cup of water and marinated prawns to it
5.      Cook  till it dries up
6.      Serve with rice or rotis
